Using Social Metrics As A Measure Of Engagement

In this video Eric and Mark give insights into how you can use social metrics like shares, comments and likes to measure engagement.

What I would add to this, is that I agree social metrics is great in determining if your creating content that resonates with your audience. As the more likes and shares your content receives shows you have created something that has got the audience to pay attention. But I believe you can go that step further to see what type of audience you have, sell a cheap product something that costs less than £5, even if just a small percentage of your audience buys the product than you know you have an audience that not only likes your content but is willing to buy your products so it would make sense in investing time to building this audience.
